SEND offer

Chesterton Primary School gives every child the opportunity to enjoy learning and achieve their full potential in an emotionally supportive, respectful and inclusive environment. We have high ambitions for all pupils and believe that every child should have access to a broad, balanced, relevant and differentiated curriculum.

This should take account of their individual learning and emotional needs and should allow each child to fulfil their potential. It is recognised that this will be achieved by inclusive practice involving collaboration, input from schools, parents/carers, LA support services, other agencies and the broader community.

We work within the Wandsworth guidance on provision for children with SEND in mainstream schools which explains the ways children with different additional needs are provided for within the school. All of our staff use the 'Ordinarily Available Provision: Expectations for all Schools/Settings' (published October 2021) to ensure inclusive provision for all pupils within Chesterton. If there are any concerns about the support provided by the school please talk to the class teacher in the first instance. If you have further concerns contact the SENCO - Miss Newick for Nursery, Reception, Year 1 & 2 or  Miss McCarthy for Years 3-6.

If you would like to discuss the matter with the Headteacher, please make an appointment with the school office. If you would like to contact the Local Academy Committee, please do so in writing.
